I have a clean, low hour (3100) Allis Chalmers 200 Diesel tractor that I have advertised for sale. There is a lot of interest, but one issue that I disclosed is the fact that the tractor pops out of gear when in 3rd and the tractor free wheels. We had another 200 and a 190XT that did the same thing.

If the fluid hasn't been changed for awhile, it would be wise to change it anyway. Oil is cheap compared to transmission problems. Otherwise place a 5 gallon bucket under it and drain the sump. I think its 8 bolts if I remember correctly. The screen is attached to the sump.

From your description, it sounds like the transmission pump (gerotor pump) isn't working. If it isn't pumping oil to build 200 or so psi, the tractor will never move because all the transmission clutches are hydraulically applied. On the instrument panel there is an 1800 RPM transmission lube light.

It is now loose on the shaft. I can't lay the clutch fingers down because the clutch arm is also frozen to the shaft. The service manuals are sold in sections and I can't find the one for the transmission. From the parts book it looks like I can pull the Aux. transmission out and the input shaft will retract letting the guide tube come out.

The D-14 and D-15 have the same third gear. The thing is they changed third gear after the transmission was put into production. Because of the change when you change third gear pinion shaft you also have to change reverse gear pinion shaft. Third gear locks into the inside of the reverse gear when running in third.

The D19 and 200 jump out of "3rd" gear while going down hill and the 7060 jumps out of "4th"gear. Every tractor i have will hold any gear on the "pull" side. My 7080 holds all gears up or down, the only exception i have is my 7040, it has a "weak" high range on the shifter, but what do you exect after putting over 9200hrs on it.
